Description: Barbara Baker-Bury (1944-2018) began painting in her mid-fifties after taking art classes at The River Gally School. Barbara discovered a passion for abstract painting while taking art classes at the River Gallery School. Barbara created hundreds of paintings using oil and watercolors as her preferred mediums. Her work was exhibited several times at the Latchis Theater, the Edgewater Gallery, and the Crowell Library. I love stories like this because they demonstrate that it is never too late to thrive in a new adventure. This 6x9 oil painting on paper has been professionally framed. The framed dimension is approximately 16" x 14". The title of this work is known as Moneghan Horizon. While this work is abstract, the ocean imagery is undeniable. This piece has her signature in the bottom right-hand corner as it blends in with the waves. This perceived humbleness is another attribute to the painting that I, personally, admire.
