Paraskevas This auction is for: Card #12 - Roger Clemens (Boston Red Sox number 21) The card is in excellent condition, with minor imperfections on the edges, along with slight wear from storage and a few small corner dings. For bid is an original baseball card created by children's book author and illustrator Michael Paraskevas in 1989. The card art hand-drawn by Paraskevas, then printed for a limited edition set, then given away to art directors he worked with at the time (he was doing a lot of editorial illustration back then), his friends and supporters. Paraskevas produced sets of cards for three years: 1988, 1989 and then again in 1994. These are printed on thick, card stock paper. These sets are considered one of the scarcest series of cards in the modern era by some. According to another ebay seller, one set from the 1994 edition - was originally in the collection of Werner Fusselle of This Week in Baseball before being purchased and many other sets are in private collections.
