Description: Here is a nice size chunk of matrix containing a large fossilized Trimerorhachis amphibian jaw. This jaw has some sockets visible and can potentially be prepped further to reveal more if desired. This fossil was found in the Permian age (280 million year old) Ryan Formation near Waurika Oklahoma. Trimerorhachis was an early form of temnospondyl that could reach about 1 meter in length. It had a distinctive triangular shaped head full of sharp, pointy teeth. It was likely an aquatic predator, preying on fish and small vertebrates. Please check photos for size and condition.
