If you haven't held early pieces, you will be surprised how fine these pieces are. They are "lighter" than modern Heath pieces, as the body is thinner and more highly fired. The green glaze has a slight speckled appearance, natural to the glaze. Flaws: The handle of one of the bowls has a small chip that does not effect the functionality of the piece at all (see second photo where I have pointed this out with a red arrow). Secondly, although these are from a matching set, the natural patina on some of the lids has a brassy appearance in some lights.
