Description: For your consideration is a lovely and very detailed hand painted antique tea potmade by the Takito Co. in Japan. Note the bottom stamp with the double TTfor this company. The interesting mark is that the stamp states made in Nippon.This dates the tea pot from 1891 -1921. After 1921 the marks for export statedJapan and not Nippon which is the word the Japanese used for their country. This teapot measures 8 1/4" from handle to spout and stands 4 1/2 high. It is in excellent shape for age. There are wear marks to bottom rims,but no chips or cracks. The heavy gold gilt is very stunning with very littlewear. The scenes are lovely.
