In this lot we have a RARE circa 1951 Hamilton 992B 16 size 21 jewel railroad grade pocket watch model 5 in a RARE salesmans display convertible case. Typically these cases are strictly made for a 16 or 18 size watch BUT this case has a removable interior ring held in place by 2 screws that allows it to come out to convert the case from 16 size to 18 size. We have NEVER seen one of these salesmans cases before. The watch winds, sets, runs, and appears to be running slow approximately 1 to 2 minutes a day. But we have not checked it for exact accuracy. Overall condition is good for a watch this age showing signs of use and wear that would be expected. We do not know the service history of this watch but it should make an excellent candidate for repair, restoration, or parts and a great addition to any watch collection.
