RARE Girl Scout 1919-1924 Type 2D 10k GOLD Filled MEMBERSHIP PIN Eagle Award

Description: Here we have one vintage Girl Scout Type 2D Membership pin. This means first, that it has 3 stars, 4 bars on the shield and was produced between 1917 and 1924. It has a very distinctive shape that is readily recognizable to anyone who is familiar with Girl Scout memorabilia. The trefoil shape of the pin is more compact than modern pins: the three clover leaves and the lower quadrant are all noticeably smaller, with the contact points much closer to the interior of the pin. This one is also 10K GOLD FILLED. I have never seen another one pin this old on for sale on eBay that is Gold or Gold Filled. Pins with any sort of real Gold content first appeared in the 1919 Equipment catalog - I am including photos from that catalog for reference.
