Description: This is a very rare and super cool natural partial fossil Spruce Cone end with a nice view of the inner cone and a touch of preserved ash which was hand dug in the Virgin Valley of Nevada. Sometimes these Spruce cones are referred to as fossil Pinecones. This Mid Miocene fossil specimen was hand dug and carved out of the matrix and then stabilized for a nice display. This spruce cone end measures 1.69 inches long by 0.87 inches wide. This Virgin Valley Spruce cone specimen would be an excellent addition to any rock and mineral collection.
