Description: This is a scarce early hand thrown stoneware ink bottle that was dug from an 1820s outhouse privy pit in Louisiana...no embossing....hand thrown on a potter's wheel...wire cut off ridges on bottom...wide mouth ring opening....tan stoneware...1 1/2"tall x 1 7/8"round....It has 3 chips on collared mouth & a couple shallow flakes on very bottom. Although this ink bottle was dug from an 1820s trash pit, it could date back to the late 1700s Colonial Era ....THIS IS A FIXED PRICE BOTTLE FOR SALE IN MY STORE.......
