The British patent was granted one year earlier, in 1920 = UK Patent No. 172198/20 and they were featured in the vintage Dunhill Catalogs of those years. * During those same years, the American brand Velvet was the best selling pipe-blend in the country and they too began making self-filling cartridges for the Smokarol pipe. This used vintage Smokarol is made of genuine "old growth" French Briar. Look at the starting bid price. Being a used pipe it will need to be cleaned before use.
