Description: This vintage, color-rich Currier and Ives Blue Cake Plate (Platter) by Royal China features a beautiful underglaze print of "The Rocky Mountains." Interestingly, the backstamp, not found on all pieces, also includes a rare "E 52" which I haven't been able to decode -- perhaps for the theme and the year manufactured? (See photos.) This plate is round and measures 10.5 inches in diameter, except for the handle design which extends the diameter to 11 1/2 inches. The platter is made by Royal China and other users report it is dishwasher safe. The blue color and intricate pattern make it a great addition to any American-themed decor.
