Description: RARE Antique Homer Laughlin Hotel China - Hotel Sugar Bowl Dish with Double Gargoyle Faces - Thick - Candy Dish - Tea Caddy - Shabby Chic with Green Stripe and Red Lines Rare Antique Homer Laughlin Hotel China Design White Round Hotel Sugar with the double gargoyle / masked faces on the side! This is a very sturdy and thick piece! This one has green stripe and red lines and beause of the age staining it has the very cool shabby chic look. Would make for cool accent home decor piece, Halloween themed candy dish, Christmas spirit bowl, tea caddy, or spooky season decor. This round hotel style sugar was originally featured in the 1907 Homer Laughlin Company General Catalog Hotel China Ware line. This piece is from 1924 per the backstamp. Measures approximately 3-1/2" tall and 5" across at widest point with faces. This piece could also be used for for mustard, marmalade, sugar, jam, display piece, antique home decor, or for the shabby chic antique ironstone collector! Has under the glaze crazing and age staining. Some chips along the bottom edge and on the nose portions of the the gargoyle faces - all noted for accuracy. Glaze is shiny and bright over the piece. Some wear on green and red lines from use and handling. Other factory production imperfections possible such as sand bumps, glaze pops, glaze misses - all normal factory production.
