Description: Rare and Unusual Antique Carved Tiger Oak EPNS Three Scottish Thistles Presentation Biscuit Barrel. The tiger oak barrel formed in the shape of a Thistle head with three individually carved thistles, one to the front and two to the rear joined by leaf carvings all around. EPNS handle, front shield and lid with rope and "Biscuits" lifting knob to lid. Ceramic liner to interior. Some minor filled shrinkage lines to body, aged patina to EPNS (see photos), otherwise in good overall condition commensurate with age and use. Lovely looking barrel and a rare survivor.
