Description: Antique 1920s Masquerade Costume Very unique hard to find 1920s Masquerade costume. The costume is two piece, Vest and knicker type bottoms. The top is a blue silk vest with white glass bead fringe. The inside is lined in a white linen. (White top show in some pictures is NOT part of the Costume.) The bottoms are a matching blue silk with white linen lining. They tie with a cord on each side . The bottoms have white mother of pearl button accents. Overall the piece is in good condition. The silk has not tears. There is some staining on the back of the pants and the back of the vest has some light discoloration. The cord that ties the bottoms is worn. Measurements Measured laying flat NOT doubled VEST Chest 16" (vest is designed to be open in front Waist 13.25" Length 13.25" without fringe PANTS measured laying flat NOT doubled. (pants measure very large as part of costume) Waist 17" (measured without tightening the pull cord pants Hips 21" Waist to inseam 21" Length inseam 15.5" Total length (waist to cuff) 27" This costume came from a family friend. The family attended many parties in the 20s this was one of their outfits They had a long history in the Eastern United States Back to the mid 1700s.
