Pages are crisp and clean, and the paper (including end-sheets) has a beautiful subtle "onyx" veined marbling (pale blue and gold). This book is EXTREMELY RARE, with no original copies found for sale online anywhere except for modern print-on-demand examples. Not one original copy has sold on eBay in the last three years. All of the lovely poems within pertain to Christmas. NOTE: The info on the Onyx series in brackets above was found in a December 14, 1913 newspaper article published in the Sunday Oregonian (Portland, Oregon). Carolyn Wells (1862-1942) is best known for her mystery stories.
