Description: RARE 1992 Marx Trains USA O-Gauge CP Streamlined Locomotive Tender Set #8341 MIB Modern tin production by Marx Trains of Elmhurst, IL. This is the first loco/tender set made by the company in the early 1990’s. The CP #3003, (Catalog #8341) 2-4-2 loco has an 8 wheel matching tender. Loco side boards and tender are tin litho, balance is tin enameled or plated. Marx Trains were proudly Made in the USA, while other toy train companies were making their products over-seas. This was purchased new and never ran. I am the second owner and have carefully stored it since 2001. You will be very hard-pressed to find another in such condition. The loco and tender are pristine (not a single dent, scratch or paint chip). The weight inside the rear portion of the locomotive has migrated from its pad as shown in photo and that is the only imperfection. It can be moved back into place but I will leave that to the new owner. The inner boxes, owners guide and thank you letter from Marx President, James R. Flynn, are also in excellent condition. The outer shipping box is crisp but the tape has come loose from the lid.
