RARE 1920’S ART DECO SIGNED AUGUSTE BONAZ CELLULOID HAIR COMB

Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION:Earlier this year, I bought a large collection of antique hair combs and ornament that belonged to a life long “known” collector. Many of her combs are on internet reference sights and books as well. This is one of several that I will be offering on ebay. This beautiful ornate comb was made in France in the 1920’s. It is 5 3/4” long x 4 3/8” wide and is made from translucent yellow celluloid. The flared top is intricately pierce cut and carved with scroll designs. It has black enamel accents throughout the design and the reverse is marked “Auguste Bonaz” in script. It has a small hairline crack at the bottom of the comp top piece (top of the middle prong). The celluloid is very flexible and shows no signs of degradation which is often seen in these pieces. ***Please note that my camera is cobalt blue and often makes polished surfaces look dark due to the reflection on the metal surface.*** SHIPPING:First class shipping, insurance, and handling in the US is $6. I am happy to ship multiple auction wins in the same package at the actual cost plus insurance. International shipping is through ebay’s global shipping program. I try my best to wrap all items securely, and to ship in a timely fashion. Once the item is wrapped, a shipping label is created, and the tracking number is provided on ebay. I personally have my packages scanned by the post office before they obtain possession.
