Indicates that Lens was the 1st. Army H.Q. Has great detail about the town. Sorry for a couple of the blurring photos.....all is clear as a bell in reality.THIS MAP WAS USED!!! IF YOU WANT SOMETHING THAT WAS "THERE" AND USED DAY TO DAY DURING WWI, THIS IS IT!!! It is a linen map, made to withstand use and folding/unfolding and other use during field conditions and with constant use, so in great shape.Best part is that I have the name of the Canadian Artillery officer who owned and used this and brought it home along with a couple of other maps, photos, barrage tables, a german cartridge box, and other souvenirs. Also hand written story about how he was the last to see his commander alive at Passchendaele (shown, and I will send a copy to the winner). Owner was an artillery lieutenant, and his name and outfit will be provided to the lucky buyer. I currently have his last 3 remaining maps listed on ebay. This WAS USED.
