Description: Description: This RARE 1889 Advertising Book is for "W.Duke Sons & Co." Cigarettes and is Titled "Shadows". The Front and back cover is made of card board. There are 14 card stock pages with pictures on only one side of the page. On the first page, the shadows of different people are animals; old woman's shadow is an owl, old man with a hat and beard is an old fox, etc. On the fourth page, is a man and woman walking together and the man is smoking but the shadow looks like the woman smoking. It says "Things are seldom what they seem." All the pages have to same theme. On the back cover it says "Compliments of W.Duck Sons & Co. Album, The Six Great Brands of Cigarettes - Duke's Cameo, Turkish Cross-Cut. Duke's Cross-cut, Duke's Preferred Stock, Duke's Best." Measures: 10-3/8" W x 7" H. Condition: Corners and edges are worn. Front cover has come loose from book. Scuffing on front cover and large crease on front bottom right corner. Lots of wear on back cover. Shipping included in price, US only!
