Description: These unique and handmade Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls were probably homemade in the 1940s (judging from the style of the clothes as well as the prints and patterns of the clothing, and also their dark hair which was the norm in the earlier history of RA&A. These dolls were probably based on retail sewing patterns that were made available in the 1940s. Note that their lower legs are not red-and-white striped, like most RA&A dolls, both commercially made and homemade and especially later on in their history. Their slightly off-center noses and lovingly hand-made quality make them extra charming and unique. They both really have a lot of character and warmth. Together, they weigh 18.5 ounces.
