The poster measures 37" x 24". It is signed on the plate by Rafal Olbinski and is in very good condition with light signs of handling. This is from the original printing that is long out of print. Falstaff is a comic opera in three acts by the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. The Italian-language libretto was adapted by Arrigo Boito from the play The Merry Wives of Windsor and scenes from Henry IV, Part 1 and Part 2, by William Shakespeare.Rafał Olbinski (born February 21, 1943) is a Polish illustrator, painter, and educator, living in the United States. He is considered one of the major representatives of the Polish School of Posters.BiographyOlbinski was born in Kielce, Poland. He graduated from the architecture program of the Warsaw University of Technology in 1969.
