The full width poppy fabric is cut into a panel and surrounded by five (5) borders. The third border is made up of pieced poppy star blocks, and the fifth border uses the poppy border stripe fabric with mitered corners. FABRIC: Created by celebrated artist Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey, Charisma is both bold and beautiful, overflowing with exuberant poppies in vibrant color. Painting on silk with reactive dyes she captures brilliant color and texture not feasible on paper or canvas. Charisma is a virtuoso of color and style! Exquisitely painted poppies are offered in a variety of prints. The featured print can be used as a panel but is running yardage for maximum flexibility. Use it as is or deconstruct to create something completely new. Use the border stripe to finish or easily expand the size of your project. Packed poppies and open tossed poppies as well as tossed dragonflies complement the featured prints. A wide range of complex multi-color textures and a unique check complete the coordination. 100% cotton fabric. Machine wash cold water, tumble dry cool, do not bleach, iron on back if necessary. The kit contains a purchased copy of the Explosion of Poppies pattern and instructions designed by Laureen Smith of Tourmaline and Thyme Quilts along with enough fabric to complete the quilt top and edge binding as shown in picture 1. BACKING FABRIC AND BATTING WILL NEED TO BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY. Printed fabrics in this kit are from the Charisma collection by Northcott. Pictures 2 thru 10 show the pattern and fabrics included in this kit. There are no substitutions in this kit! Skill Level: Confident Beginner The pattern recommends 5 yards of 42/44 fabric for your backing along with a 76 x 76 piece of batting. Backing fabric and batting are NOT included in this kit. A little over 7-1/2 yards of fabric is included in this kit along with the pattern.
