Description: (#293) Offered is a good 1977 BCE of The Ophiuchi Hotline by John Varley. This sopy is sqare and tight with minor bumping to the spine ends and board tips, moderate soiling to the edges of the cloth boards from shelf wear. There is old dust soiling to the outside page edges, inside pages are clean with no writing, marks, torn pages, not remaindered. The jacket has edgewear, more so at the spine ends and rubbing / handling wear, especially the backside. Jacket art by Boris Valoejo, the colors are actually more vibrant than appears in my dull pics. At the least, a great reading copy. Please note: As a small seller on eBay, I truly cannot offer free shipping. There are postage charges and the cost of supplies needed which I cannot buy in bulk or wholesale, however, I will combine shipping for purchases of more than one book in a single transaction. Also: As I state on my store's homepage, my books come from many different sources and I cannot possibly guarantee they have never been exposed to pets or smoke and as I have chronic sinus problems, my nose doesn't work as well as it should but it has been rare to receive a comment that a book smelled smoky. If this is a problem for you then I would sincerely suggest you do not buy used or vintage items. Only a new book seller can make such guarantees. I try to describe as correctly as I can but there is always a possibility I could overlook a flaw. If you have a problem with a book you purchased from me, please, contact me. I will accept a return for an item that was not described accurately (as far as actual physical damage). Return postage is at the buyers expense and when I receive the item back a refund will be made. I have noticed that many of the bulk sellers of used / vintage books barely post any description of a book at all, many only use stock photos, some do not even promise to send you any particular edition of a book, as long as it is the correct title, may or may not be ex-library, etc. The pictures I post are of the book you will get, the descriptions are of the actual book. I would not replace anything without consulting the buyer first of all and have never needed to do so.
