The SSDs are installed on the expansion card and the card is then inserted into the PCI Express bus of your QNAP NAS. After restarting, the QNAP NAS should automatically recognize the new SSDs. The card comes with two alternative mounting brackets that can be swapped for the third one that is already attached to the card, depending on what model of QNAP NAS you have. The sale also includes three batches of thermal pad material (the blue stickers on the photos) to dissipate the heat from the SSDs properly and three rubber mounting pads for the SSD (the red stickers on the photos).
