Primitive Santa Doll in Antique Quilt Coat, Grungy Handmade Christmas Decor

Description: Bring rustic charm to your holiday decor with this handcrafted primitive Santa doll. Santa's body is made from osnaburg. He's stuffed with fiberfill ... and a few inches of small gravel in the bottom to help him stand. Santa stands approximately 19" tall. He has a flat bottom/base. Santa has been grunged to give an aged, timeworn appearance. His needle-sculpted nose and embroidered eyes add rustic charm. Santa's hair, beard & mustache, and eyebrows are made from soft sheep's wool attached to his body by felting. Santa wears a coat and hood made from antique quilt which had seen its better days. The trim is antique cotton quilt batting. The coat, hood, and trim have all been coffee-grunged. There are 5 rusty jingle bells down the front of Santa's coat; these are attached with tiny rusty safety pins. Another rusty bell adorns the tip of Santa's hood; this one is sewn on (because I wasn't able to get the tiny safety pin thru the multiple layers of fabric). I've tucked one of my small antique quilt hearts and a sprig of Sweet Annie in his arms. These are removable if you'd like to give him something else to hold. This doll is signed and dated on his lower back to certify that he is an original artist-made creation. You will receive the same Santa doll shown in this listing.
