Description: Up for sale is an antique 19th century lap desk or campaign desk recently found at auction in the Lancaster County PA area. The interior is papered with the Illustrated London News Berlin Supplement one dated Feb 27 1858. Stamped at least 8 times are the initials CST - we believe the owner, not the maker, or maybe CST made it and used it. Unusual larger size than we usually find. Well made. Scratches, dents, stains, no inkwells, no pen rests, no key. Soft wood, maybe pine. Overall 21.25 x 11.25 and 7.75" tall. Best of luck in bidding.
