I purchased these from the C&J stockist at 92 Jermyn Street in London, and thus can guarantee these are first-quality C&J shoes. But no longer wearing suits every day. Balfour is an apron derby shoe crafted on C&J's 363 last. Although part of the Handgrade collection, Balfour is one only a few models whose "uppers are expertly stitched by our highly skilled hand sewer to give this style the utmost finesse and quality." I own several Handgrade shoes and think that handsewns "pop" just a bit more. Competitive, in my view, with Edward Green and John Lobb, both of which are several hundred dollars more expensive.
