Description: post-WWII Era US Army M1944 Upper Combat Field Pack - Dated 1951 - Nice Condition Up for sale is a post-WWII Era US Army M1944 Upper Combat Field Pack. The pack has most of the straps and fasteners. It is missing the lower E-Tool handle strap on the front of the pack. Also, missing the female strap section of the blanket strap, on the left side of the pack. There is an ink stamp under the flap that shows a 1951 date. There is a fray spot where the e-tool strap was removed, see photo. The pack still has the rubberized liner, the liner is flexible, but is starting to stiffen. This is a nice example of this popular WWII era pack. This pack was one part of a three part system, the M1944 upper pack, the M1944/M1945 Lower cargo pack and the M1944 Suspeners. The shoulder straps on the pack are designed to attach the M1944 Suspenders to the pack. The M1944 Suspenders are available separately. They are not included with this pack. Please see the photos.
