The mug's main color is an off-white. The outside of the mug has many decorations, including a vine/leaf ring around the top of the mug. The main motif is on both the "front" and "back" of the mug. This design is one of three pink tulips with vibrant hunter green and light green leaves. Also included are three butterflies in the colors of yellow, light blue and orange. There is also a dragonfly with green wings and a blue body. ** The mug is considered a travel mug, but the top that goes with this mug is not included for hygiene reasons since I purchased this mug at a "new" items home goods special sale. The Portmeirion artist Susan Ellis-Williams developed the design concept for "Botanic Garden" in 1972, when she was looking through rare books and discovered a volume of beautiful, meticulously drawn floral illustrations.
