This is a genuine prutah of Pontius Pilate, struck in bronze, and in the exact condition you see in the high resolution photographs. This piece was designed in part by, and struck under the authority of the same Pontius Pilate who presided over the trial of Jesus, that led to his crucifixion. The obverse features three bound grain ears and legend. The reverse features a simpulum with legend. The Judaean coins of this era were often stuck on slightly Irregular shaped flans and were struck by hand. For reference of size, a U.S. dime is about 18mm across. There is debate on which coin the historical "widow's mite" is. This coin is part of the family of coins it would have been. Grading of coins is subjective. In my opinion, this coin is F.
