Description: Hi! PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY! First things first! I tell people the truth, whether they like it or not! THE PRICE IS FIRM. I NEVER lower the price on ANY of my Buy It Now listings. Have not done it on any item in 22 years on Ebay and I don't plan on EVER doing it now or in the future. So, please do NOT ask for a lower price. OFTEN (BUT NOT ALWAYS) I AM THE LOWEST PRICE! Already, as of July 6, 2023, THERE ARE MORE THAN 70 PEOPLE WHO APPARENTLY DID NOT READ THE FIRST THREE SENTENCES OF THIS DESCRIPTION BECAUSE THEY HAVE ALREADY ASKED ME FOR A LOWER PRICE!!!! (By the way, on May 7, 2021, a box like this was advertised by someone else on Ebay for $64,000 or Best Offer. It sold May 7. Was that a high price? I don't think so. Anyway, my price is exactly $59,000. Since a local dealer recently offered me $50,000 for this box and I don't have to pay him 13% in Ebay fees, I determined that $59,000 was a fair price for this. IF YOU DON'T BUY IT, HE WILL.) All my prices are fair because this is NOT my hobby. THIS IS HOW I TRY TO MAKE A LIVING. That means I have to sell my items in a timely manner. Thank you for understanding. Now that that is out of the way.... I have been selling Pokemon since January 1999. In October 1999, after Hasbro had printed millions of additional Base unlimited packs, I made a bet. I decided to buy more Pokemon when hardly anyone I knew was buying. Then I bought more. And more. I even bought some 1st edition French boxes. And some 1st edition German boxes. And some Japanese boxes. And English Base boxes--lots. Finally, I stopped buying when I ran out of money. You know, financial advisers always tell people to diversify. They say, don't put all your eggs in one basket. WRONG. WRONG. WRONG. My feeling since 1989 is to find a great basket yourself and put all your eggs in it! (because in the immortal words of the late screenwriter and novelist William Goldman, "Nobody knows nothing.") Then borrow eggs from friends or family and put more eggs in the same, great basket! You know, they teach in business schools all over the world to "buy low and sell high." After living on earth more years than I care to admit, I know that is 100% WRONG NEARLY 100% OF THE TIME. They should teach, instead, BUY HIGH, SELL HIGHER. I have known this for 35 years. I admit I have not always acted on this truism, (usually lack of money was the reason) but I do know this: whenever you think the price is high, it's actually low. And when you think the price is low, it's actually high. WHENEVER I HAVE BOUGHT A SO-CALLED BARGAIN--and I admit I have done it several times--I HAVE ALWAYS REGRETTED IT. ALWAYS! In December 2021, a dealer friend told me a friend of his had purchased five 1986-87 Fleer Basketball boxes (Michael Jordan's rookie card) for $45,000 per box. I told the dealer that his friend had made a very smart investment. NOW--LESS THAN 20 MONTHS LATER THOSE SEALED BOXES GO FOR ABOUT $90,000 EACH! If you can find them!! I firmly believe those five boxes will hit AT LEAST $300,000 EACH before this decade is over. You think I am crazy? I am not. It is the same reason a painting that sells at the "insane" price of $3.3 million seven years ago fetches $27 million seven years later. (I know a reputable stock analyst--who does this for a living--thought Tesla was way OVERPRICED at $122 per share!) And so on. Do I think the price of this 1st edition Base French sealed box of 36 packs will hit $250,000 or more a box by 2032? Maybe. Maybe not, but I would not bet against it. Rare becomes rarer over time AND MORE EXPENSIVE. I am convinced that the DEMAND for Pokemon is JUST BEGINNING. If I am wrong, the person who buys this may even lose a few bucks. (I seriously doubt that.) If I am wrong, my children will lose more than a few bucks BECAUSE AS SOME OF YOU MAY KNOW IF YOU FOLLOW MY LISTINGS, I AM LEAVING AT LEAST 90% OF ALL MY POKEMON TO MY FOUR CHILDREN. In fact, this is the only sealed box of Pokemon I plan to sell of 1st Edition French Pokemon on Ebay in my lifetime. My kids will share the other boxes. The price of this super rare 1st edition Pokemon Base French booster box is $59,000. Not a penny more, not a penny less. NO MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE PUT IT ON THEIR WATCH LIST. (That, by the way, is when you know someone is not interested. They put it on their watch list! Serious buyers DON'T do that. They just recognize VALUE and they buy. ) The number of 1st edition sealed French packs that is out there is probably less than one 20th of one percent--that's right LESS THAN ONE 20th OF ONE PER CENT--of what is out there in English Base booster packs. (I happen to think it is less than one fortieth of one percent!) Just leave aside the ALMOST NONEXISTENT number of 1st edition Base French sealed BOXES for a minute. The number of individual 1st edition French PACKS out there is a joke. Check Ebay and see what I mean. Then type on Ebay (or anywhere else, for that matter) English 1st edition Pokemon base packs. There are still quite a few. If you purchase this, you are buying something EXTREMELY RARE of a product that will be popular for many decades to come! The rules: 1) The price is the price. You either want it or you don't. If you want it, the price is $59,000. If you don't want it, you would be overpaying by $59,000. 2) Please add $424 for insured shipping with signature required. 3) The box itself is as pristine as pristine can be--no dents, bumps, bruises and still sealed like it came from the factory. See photos--and don't criticize my photography. I'm very sensitive. 4) Payment is due within three days of purchase. 5) If you have a question, please ask. 6) I am proud of my feedback on Ebay, encompassing more than 7,200 separate transactions over the past 22 years. Thanks for reading this far. You have now read more in the last four minutes than Agent Orange (rhymes with rump) has in his adult life. Not kidding! 7) The most important rule of all--DO NOT FORGET RULE NUMBER ONE! Thanks. Jerry P.S. Double boxed, fully insured, sent registered mail and packed with care.
