Author Biography A native of Trinidad & Tabago WI, Mekre Francis came to the U.S. at the tender age of 14. He lived on the upper west side of Manhattan and attended Martin Luther King Jr. HS. A graduate of the class of "97" he moved on to exploring the 9 to 5 life style and working as an Assistant Super and Security Officer. Along with working the two jobs, Mekre wanted to try his hand at event planning and promoting. Planning, coordinating, promoting and hosting the events sparked a fire in Mekre. He knew then that his passion was to create art and entertainment for people to enjoy. Mekre decided to further is education within the arts and enrolled in Living Arts College in Raleigh NC, he majored in Filmmaking and graduated in the summer of 2010. Since then hes, formed a company called 3rd Day Productions (2010). Mekre has worked as a camera man on a live recording of the "Lamp Lighters Awards" in Raleigh NC (2009), hes directed "The Bronco Women" a Chris Pastor project (inspirational, motivational live taping) in Fayetteville NC (2010). Under his company 3rd Day Productions he has produced, directed, filmed, edited and packaged his first solo project a comedy show called "The Comedy Show, Clean Comedy with a Smile" in Raleigh NC (2010). Although he is now beginning his journey in filmmaking he has multiple scripts in different stages of production. Mekre find inspiration in every element of life and will continue to work toward achieving his goals.
