Although these caps appear at first glance the same size as Rayo-type caps, they are not. These threads are slightly smaller in diameter. Rayo-type thread are a nominal 11/16” diameter. The P&A ones are 1/64” small or 43/64” diameter. If your lamps won’t quite take the Rayo-type cap because it is slightly too large, this cap may well fit. I came across a number of these that were clearly new old stock but quite tarnished with age. I cleaned them in an ultrasonic cleaner and polished them. I also have the recessed brass replacement threads listed in my store that fit these caps.
