Platinum Prime is a 2K high build, high production acrylic urethane primer with excellent hold out and easy to sand properties. Light gray color makes it easy to achieve opacity with a minimal number of coats. Suggested Uses: As a wet on wet sealer or a full-bodied sandable primer, where body repair, scratches or imperfections need to be filled. Best if used when: • Minimal shrinkage is desired• Excellent sandability and hold out are needed • High productivity is required. Mixing Ratio: 4:1: As a primer: Mix four (4) parts PBP-41 Primer to one (1) part selected hardener As a sealer: Mix four (4) parts PBP-41 Primer to one (1) part selected hardener to one (1) part selected reducer Application: Apply: One to three medium wet coats, allow 10 - 20 minutes flash between coats HVLP Gravity Feed: 1.4 - 1.7mm tip and needlePressure Pot HVLP: 1.0 - 1.2mm tip and needle Air Assist Airless: 1.0 - 1.2mm tip and needle Dry Times: Dust Free: 10 minutes at 68°F (20°C) Dry to Touch: 20 minutes at 68°F (20°C) Dry to Sand: 1 hour per coat at 68°F (20°C) Force Dry: 20 minutes at 140°F (60°C) sand before painting VOC: Regulatory VOC: 577.68 g/l (4.82 lbs/gl) Actual VOC: 579.4 g/l (4.8 lbs/gl) Solids: By Volume: 33.8% By Weight: 55.6% Specific Gravity: Coverage: 10.9 lbs/gl (1.3 kg/l) Repainting: 280.0 square feet per gallon at 100% transfer efficiency, at 50 microns (2 mils) 26.1 square meters per gallon at 100% efficiency, at 50 microns (2 mils) Storage Stability: After 48 hours at 68°F (20°C).
