Description: Have these two 1987 items from Piedmont Airlines. Piedmont was based in Winston-Salem, NC and operated from 1948 until 1989 when they merged with US Air. The Piedmont Airlines that flies today has a different history. The note pad has 21 pages with no writing. It does not appear that any pages were used but not certain if its complete. At the top of each page it reads FIRST CLASS PIEDMONT AIRLINES. At the bottom of each page it reads PIEDMONT AIRLINES, 1987. Each page measures 6" x 4". The pin back button is 2 1/4" in diameter and is in great shape. In 1984 when Air Florida ceased operations, it left many Florida markets under served. In 1985 Piedmont took advantage of these destination needs and developed a successful shuttle service to these under served cities. The button was used to promote their service.
