Description: For sale is this Volume 6 The Navies of the Photographic History of the Civil War by Francis Miller published in 1911. The is part of the 10 volume set. This volume is a fascinating read for fans of naval history and or the Civil War. There is a dateline listing of major naval engagements, photographs of various vessels taken contemporaneously and articles on the beginning of submarines and iron clad ships in naval warfare. CONDITION: This particular 113 year old volume has the disclosed condition issues. It seems from the handwritten location using the Dewey Decimal System that is written on the spine that it was in a public library at some point. There are pages that have come loose from the binding as well as one page with the large tear that was taped. However, as best I can determine all the pages are there. Please see photographs or use the Ebay magnifying feature if that is available to you for an accurate depiction of the condition of this item.
