These spiderweb covers, maroon web on grey, are so fabulous. The colors in particular just make this amazing design so much more excellent. And the spines all have the author, S. S. Van Dine, the title and COLLIER in gold. Classic. Fabulous. Strangely, there are other Philo Vance mysteries, but only these 6 seem to have been published by Collier in this fabulous spiderweb series binding. There is a list of all the Philo Vance mysteries that was tucked into one of these books. I searched Google and eBay to see if any of them were published by Collier with the spiderweb covers. Nope. They don't seem to have been. Maybe these are the most popular books? You can see that list in the photos, by the way. "S.S.
