This tablecloth called Mesa quepe or mastana are used by the Paqos as a tool for a ceremony called despacho, pago a la Pachamama ( pay to the Mother Earth). The mesa quepe is essential because all the items are set on it. This Cloth was woven in one of the Q'ero communities named Ccatca, located by the Q'eros Nations close to the town of Paucartambo - Cusco. This mastana has geometrical designs. The fine and art details on this work took several weeks to finish it. This textile will be a great addition to your collection. As I mentioned before, These cloths are used traditionally as altar cloths for one's "mesa" (or shamanic altar) or as a surface for doing coca leaf divination.
