Description: You usually don't get glamorous and warm in one coat, but here it is -- from H. Liebes, for decades the premier furrier in San Francisco, a vintage -- I'd say late 1940 or early 1950s -- black Persian lamb coat, perfect to dress up with a cocktail dress or down with dark jeans and a retro sweater. This has a deep portrait collar, fastens with the standard hook-and-eye closures of vintage fur coats, and has front slash pockets. The lining is embroidered with the original owner's initials, and is in good shape; the seam around the right armhole has been mended.Length 38 inches, shoulder 18-19 inches, pit to pit 21-22 inches, and the wide sleeve 26 inches long; the sleeve can be worn completely rolled down or with a cuff. The tenth photo shows some wear along the edge of one cuff, where a previous owner chose to roll the sleeve into a cuff. The last photo shows the angle and placement of the pockets, and the second to last photo shows the wear along part of the edge of the coat bodice, where you reach to close the hook. From a smoke-free, dog-loving home. Your questions welcomed!
