Description: Chenille wrapped lighted Christmas wreaths were very popular window decorations each holiday season through the 1940s to early 1950s. They usually had foil paper decorations and a candle lamp in the center. This one by Paramount is a bit different - it has a Vacuform hard, thin plastic Santa face plaque in the center, positioned in front of the candle light. The box calls the plastic material Vinylite. The wreath measures 11-1/2 inches diameter and it lights up fine. The chenille strand that supports the Santa face and hanging cords was loose in the photos, it's now been tied back in place. The chenille's original red color has faded to a light red-orange (an almost universal occurrence in this old fluffy cotton chenille, particularly when it was exposed to daylight in a window). The Santa plaque has two short breaks to the edges of the plaque at either side of his face, quite minor and not very noticeable. There is some wear to the foil poinsettia at the bottom of the wreath. The cord and plug are in excellent condition with no damage. The wreath is still in its original box which has one detached end flap. Always happy to combine shipping.
