Description: This is a really lovely 50s pastel raw silk wiggle dress. It is a really fun abstract brush stroke print in pale and royal blue, and pastel purple. The neckline is an asymmetric wrap with a slight V and a darling little rose on the shoulder. The bodice is fitted and there is piping at the waist seam. The skirt has little pleats over the hips and is a pencil silhouette. It falls past the knee and has a small kick pleat in the back. The dress has a metal zip up the back and is mostly lined in a purple rayon acetate. There is a few inches between the hem and the end of the lining. Condition:The dress is in okay condition over all. There are two small things to note. The fist is that someone has used iron patching in the skirt to fix a small hole. It's a little bigger than a fingerprint. It's not too noticeable. It has yellowed a bit and is stiffer than the silk. The only other thing to note is that there is some discoloration to the underarms; they are just a tad yellowed. It did not lift during laundering but is faint and harder to see. The dress has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
