Description: Antique Pair Samson Bird Candlesticks Stunning Samson pieces in Derby taste featuring two Buntings. Edme Samson began his career in the 1830's in Paris and was a famous Copyist of Museum Quality items. His works have since become collectible in their own right. Stunningly executed with exceptional detail and they are a direct copy of Derby's "Buntings". Happily there is a "France" and Gold anchor mark to base so there is no confusion. Candleholder loops to back. Approx 10"H X 5"W. Provenance: Prominent Private Collection Condition: One base is cracked and reglued and same piece has a branch and bird legs missing to front, chipping to foliage, otherwise minor imperfections to be expected. I will be listing a large Collection of fine English Porcelain so please continue watching. Terms of Sale Please review photos closely. I try and represent items as accurately as possible.
