Description: PAIR 1922 BORDEN COMPANY CARE & FEEDING OF INFANTS + BABY'S WELFARE BOOKLETS Click images to enlarge Description This is a pair of paperback booklets produced by The Borden Company in 1922. The first is a small guide and advertising booklet titled "The Care and Feeding of Infants". It is 4" x 6-1/8" and 8 pages. It's a summary of a variety of topics and includes pictures of the products that would be involved with 'baby' at that time (1922) - Borden's Malted Milk in a jar, Borden's Evaporated Milk in a tin and on the back is picture of their famous Eagle Brand Condensed Milk tin. The back cover gives instructions for sending for "BABY'S WELFARE". The 2nd booklet is "BABY'S WELFARE" (the one that was sent for). It's 5" x 7" and is 44 pages. The title page has "The Care of the Mother and Baby's Welfare", Proper Care and Feeding, Published by BABY WELFARE DEPT., THE BORDEN COMPANY, NEW YORK. The page of contents is a page and a half and includes many topics. There is also a section for entering info about the baby, and key times in their early life for record purposes. Due to the year, it is really interesting what the entire booklet includes and recommends. There is a LONG list of "Don'ts for the Mother"! Both of these booklets are in very good - excellent condition. The staples are rusted on the smaller booklet, but no staining from them. There are no entries that we see and would make a wonderful gift for new mother, physician, history buff, etc., besides Borden's collectors! They have no odors and will ship from our non-smoking home. Shipping Items paid for late in the day, may not be packed for shipping until the next business day/evening, and leave the following day.
