Description: GOOD CONDITION This sale is for a vintage edition entitled “Leave it to Psmith,” by P. G. Wodehouse (1881-1975). It was published by Penguin Books Ltd., of Harmondsworth, Middlesex, and is the complete and unabridged 1954 second impression of the 1953 FIRST PRINTING in this form (vintage paperback, formerly published in hardback in 1923). This story is set at Blandings Castle and involves many intrigues within the extended family of the absent-minded elderly Lord Emsworth. It is a typical Wodehouse romance, with the main character, Ronald Psmith at the idyllic castle, where there are the usual crop of girls to woo, impostors to unmask, crooks to foil etc. Some of the other characters include Psmith’s good friend Mike, who is married to Phyllis and in great need of some financial help and the ever-suspicious Rupert Baxter is on watch as usual. The book measures 7 inches x 4.5 inches and has 272 pages. The book is in good used condition for a softback of its age, with wear and a little fading. There are NO inscriptions/book-plates and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book. The binding is good, with a bend to the spine and no loose or missing pages. A good reading copy of this vintage edition.
