Description: This is an O Scale OMI. - 0091, 89' 4" cofc/ tofc flat car that is custom painted TTX # 980157, in yellow with grey treads for the deck..The car includes the factory trucks with metal wheels and Kadee couplers. A long shank coupler would be a nice improvement. Two O scale trailers can be placed on the car for a static display or an operating or running freight car. It is possible also to display with one 20' container and one trailer from 24' to 40' in length at the same time or two 20' containers or two trailers up to 42' in length each. This car prototypically was leased or owned by many western railroad's AT & SF, D & RGW, GN, SP, TT ot TTX, WP. Many of the early production year's these car's sported a box car red or Tuscan red paint scheme. The abundance of these car's were either leased or owned by Trailer Train Corp., The first color they used for the car was a Tuscon red, in the early 1970's they switched to a yellow which is what this OMI model represents. Container's or trailer's are not included, Atlas makes a nice 20' container as well as Pecos River Brass. For trailer's Bowser Manufacturing made a nice 53' trailer which could be kit bashed to a 28' pup, 32', 35', 38' or 40' trailer. Lionel also makes a really nice 40' trailer.
