Description: This tile comes from a private Maryland estate and measures roughly 6" by 6." It, and vessels like it, are frequently described as Iznik pottery or Qajar pottery. However, it might be more accurate to call it Qajar pottery (Referring to the Iranian dynasty dating 1789 - 1925) in the Iznik style (Iznik pottery refers to pottery made in Iznik, Turkey from the 15th to 17th centuries).
