Click images to enlarge Description This is an ORIGINAL cap issued to all ranks of the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and afterward, commonly known as the "cover" or to collectors as an "overseas cap". The cap is made of cotton khaki twill gabardine fabric. The cap is in VERY GOOD+ used condition and is in a man's size 7 cap size. The cap is unlined. The cap has provenance with the Marine's name stamped inside ("Vaulner F.", so it may be researchable on Ancestry.com or one of the other veterans search services. Best of all, it had attached to it when purchased by me an "Eagle, Globe & Anchor" ("EGA") USMC insigne. Here's a chance for the Marine Corps collector or re-enactor to pick up an overseas cap for their collection or impression. The buyer will have my usual five-day (not the 14-days that they insert in my listings without my consent) right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.
