Click images to enlarge Description This is an ORIGINAL cap issued to infantrymen of the U.S. Army during WWII, commonly known as the "overseas cap" and to collectors as the "envelope cap" due to its rectangular shape. This cap is made of khaki cotton twill fabric with light blue piping to indicate the GI was in the infantry. The cap is in MINT unissued condition and is a man's size 7-1/4 (see image of size tag above). The cap is lined in rayon fabric and shows no signs of wear. Here's a chance for the WWII Army collector or re-enactor to pick up an overseas cap in a "human size" for their collection or impression.
