Description: Antique original United States military MESS KIT complete with the fork Knife And spoon The handle is marked U.S. EA Co. 1944 stainless steel construction with a zinc plated folding handle The utensils are all proper WWII Period the aluminum handled knife is marked LF & C 1944 the spoon is marked SILCO stainless The fork is also by SILCO stainless all pieces are in good condition There is sone light powdery orange colored residue inside , easily cleaned off if desired real USGI soldiers chow / mess kit not dinged up or messed with - Historic 1944 dated perhaps this was a witness to D DAY ! used by both the army infantry and the marine corps USMC don’t pass it up Most mess kits you see on the market are worn out / beat up mismatched post war surplus - This is a decent collectible set that has seen light use but no abuse !
