Description: Original WW1 British Army Khaki Drill Peaked Trench Cap RARE This sale is for a period khaki drill peaked cap originally worn by British soldiers in hot weather climates such as the Gallipolli and Mesopotamian campaigns during First World War. The cap is in original condition with signs of age, wear and some repairs. The top part has come loose in areas and looks to have been repaired with glue, a small amount of residue is visable and there are some crinckling to the edge and creases tp the top (see pictures). The cap still displays well and, although repaired an original piece. Made from a light weight khaki drill and features: WW1 period general service buttons to the sides and original leather chinstrap with two buckles to adjust size.
